I know you are wondering what the heck happened. Well....life. Just weeks after I posted the last update I found out I was moving. So you can imagine what I have been donig since that time. I've boxed and moved and lifted and tugged and hauled and...well, you get the picture. I'm finally settled in our new place but of course my work room is the last room to get set up. I'm almost there though. I have some shelves to put up and a few more odd and end things to do then my room is done. But there is always a catch. I'm doing this while also trying to meet other work related deadlines that are crucial. So...

If you could just hang in there with me we will get there. I told you in an earlier update I have my new site already designed. I would LOVE to make it live but I can't. :-( I have one small problem that needs fixed before I can make the new site live. And sadly, it has to wait until my other deadlines are met.

I haven't forgotten about you out there in doll world. And I'm very anxious to get back to making dolls and having fun so even though this is taking much longer than I originally thought it would keep checking back with me. Meanwhile, have a great Labor Day weekend and I'll see you soon.

P.S. Remember those shelves I told you about? I waited and waited for them to arrive. They finally did and I FINALLY got them together and everything organized on them. I only had them up about a week and was working on the rest of the room when I found out I was moving. Down came the shelves and boy I was not thrilled about that. They are up again but a couple of the cubby holes didn't fair so well in the move. It's ok though, once I put something in the cubby hole you can't see the damage. It's just the point. They were brand new. just a week old and already damaged. Oh well, it could have been worse. :-)

I have had a slight delay in getting the new design online. I don't know if you or your family experienced that awful flu that was going around in February or not but mine did. I was just getting over a very light bout of the flu when my husband got sick. Then I got it all over again and this time with full force. I just now got over the cough from it and here it is April. Meanwhile, the new shelving I ordered for my work room to help me be more organized and efficient arrived. So my work room is a total mess as I have to make way for room to put together the units and then mount them to he walls. There will be one on each side of the room. I'll post photos of them when I am finally done. So, much is going on in the effort to bring a new Blackbeary Forest to you and a more efficient way of producing dolls for your collections. Bear with me. I'm only one person and I'm swamped. *L*

I am happy to report to you that I have the new Blackbeary Forest design complete but there is still a lot of data entry to be done and many photos to be taken.

Keep checking back with me. I will post the new design as soon as I possibly can. Then you will want to keep an eye out for new, fun designs by Blackbeary Forest. We will also be keeping some of our old favorites.

July 31, 2005 I lost my mother six weeks after finding out she was ill. I was very close to my mother. It has been a very difficult time for me, trying to accept she is gone and learning how to live without her in my life except for memories. She was only 65 years old and had never been ill..

Since her passing I have not been making or designing dolls or keeping up with my web site(s).

I am sharing this with you so that those of you who have emailed me or placed an order with me during the last two years and were unable to get through or only received the automatic email response will understand why.

On a more pleasant note, it is time for me to be creative again. So, with loving memories of my very special mother I will be making dolls and creating new designs. I will accept orders for 2007 up until November 1, 2007 and I thank those of you who have already placed an order with me.

Starting November 1, 2007 no orders will be taken. In the next year you can expect new doll creations. I also plan on creating a new web site design as well. I have always loved making dolls and will view this as a new beginning and a form of continuing to heal from the terrible loss I have felt for so long.

From now on, every doll I design will be done in loving memory of Elizabeth Gail whose creative spirit I aspire to.

For those of you who still have your mother with you, call her today. Tell her you love her. You just never know.
